Christmas-in-July – Ho, Ho, Ho !!!
As mentioned in the June newsletter, we have changed our monthly Clubrun to the 4th Sunday of the month for July, so that we can celebrate Christmas-in-July!
Our Social Director, Anne Pettigrew, has booked a separate dining room at the Royal River Inn, at 97 Swan Street Morpeth on Sunday 25th July. We will be served a roast dinner of turkey and ham, with roast vegetables and gravy; followed by plum pudding and custard for just $25-00 per head. Drinks are at members’ own additional cost.
Members wishing to attend MUST REGISTER and need to reserve their place by contacting Anne, either by email (at.rose.villa@gmail.com) or send a message to her mobile (0400 432 053) promptly and no later than Tuesday 20th July. The dining area can only take 30 guests and we have 20 confirmed so far! But we might also have a special visit from Santa and one of his elves!
There will still be a run from the Clubhouse in Lambton to be organised by our Club Captain, Jeff Lauff, leaving at the usual time of 10 am, but members can also meet us at the pub (which is the one on the Eastern side of the bridge) at 12:30. Morning tea will be BYO.
It should be a great day of good cheer and frivolity, and members are encouraged to wear an item of Christmas clothing or decoration! Something Christmasy.
