DESCRIPTION:The 2024 Long-Form Tuning Run\, starting from Broke. Please contact Austin or Steve Jones if you have any questions. \nFor the one-day Tuning Run see – https://www.huntermg.com/event/tuning-run-49/ \nDay 1: Timing on day one will be tight so we will need to get away on time and keep a healthy pace. My proposal is to be putting the cars in gear and releasing the clutch at 9am at Broke. Be fuelled ready.\nI know one couple is from the Sydney neck of the woods so I’ll work out where we’ll meet them. Also the Burns may have trouble keeping up with the rabble on this initial stretch so they may leave ahead of the pack. \nWe’ll have a quick cuppa and wee break at the Grey Gum Café on the Putty Road. From there we are heading to the Hydro Majestic for High Tea (menu is https://fastrack-spicers.s3.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/silverstripe/public/Uploads/Hydro/Restaurant-and-dining/High-tea/WG-WD-HT-07APR.pdf). That’s 250km from Broke and we should arrive around 12.30. \nAfter our posh refreshments\, if you need to\, there’s a  United servo next door. We’ll head to Oberon. This is another70km. \nIf anyone can even think about food\, we’ll head down to the Royal Hotel. It’s about a 20 minute or 1.2km walk or you can drive. \nThere are petrol options at Oberon (that would save people pulling over in Bathurst). \nDay 2: Oberon to Hill end via Bathurst. Please be ready to roll out of the Motel around 8.30. Well head into Oberon township where there are a number of cafes for breakfast. \nEveryone seemed split about whether to get a bus for the Saturday touring of Mudgee\, so at this point we are in our own cars. At the moment I plan on visiting three locations during Saturdays tour. A brewery (Small Batch Brewery and Hop Farm)\, a winery (Di Lusso for lunch) and a distillery (Baker Williams Distillery Gin\, Whiskey\, Schnapps\, maybe Rum). \nWould we like to go Italian for dinner one night?  There is only one Italian restaurant and people drive from Dubbo to dine there. \nWe snagged the last weekend of Mudgee wine and food month\, so who knows what will be on\, but that also might mean bookings are required at all our touring and eating places. \nThere will be more information coming to you as it becomes available.
