2026 SE Qld Northern NSW Pre War and Pre 1956 MG Tweed Valley Rally
Following the success of the 2024 Pre War / Pre 1956 MG Rally in Gympie, I and fellow members of the Gold Coast MG Car Club are organising this 2026 event for MG enthusiasts interested in comradeship and leisurely scenic group touring.
Whilst the Rally is designed around Pre War and Pre 1956 MGs, other participants are welcome to attend in their not so classic MGs.
If you can not participate in the full Rally why not take part for a day or two.
The proposed program is –
- Monday afternoon / evening – Registration and greet & meet
- Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday – day runs of between 150 and 200km with stops and visits (to stretch legs and …. )
- Friday Morning – Farewell breakfast
As mentioned in an earlier email, the rally will be based in the Tweed Heads /Chinderah area with runs visiting iconic little towns and villages which most of you will never have heard of.
All runs will be loops, starting and finishing in the Chinderah area. We will only be travelling along the M1 and other main roads where they are the only roads available.
In the Tweed Heads / Chinderah area there are several accommodation options available; from luxury hotels, small motel to caravan park sites or cabins.
As most people today do not plan too far ahead, we will not be asking for attendance confirmation until the new year when we will advise of the cost.
