Club Night

For the last couple of years many Hunter MG members have collected soaps and other toiletries from hotels we have visited on overnight runs. These disposable items have been donated to a woman’s refuge collective to assist people in need.

On April 14th, our guest speaker, Tina, will speak to us about the work of women’s refuges. She will explain how something as simple as soap, shampoo or toothpaste can help someone in need. It broke my heart to hear that one person cried when given some of these disposable items. She hadn’t been able to wash her hair for a couple of weeks.

If you have the time please come and hear Tina. If you have any of these disposable items that you don’t wish to keep please donate them on the night. To the many club members who have collected over the last few years, Thankyou. A simple kindness was greatly appreciated.
